Red Sox beat the Rockies 15-5 last night to win their MLB best 96th game. They lead Oakland by 2 games with 3 to play for best record in the AL.

The Braves seem content to coast in to the playoffs. There are playing below .500 ball for the last month. They are 10-13 in Sept. They even had a weak schedule during this stretch. I question if they will be able to turn it up a knotch when the playoffs start.

I'm wondering the same thing. Their bats are totally anemic right now. They've never been a good September team. I just hope they get serious for the playoffs. Fans, including me, are pretty tired of the one and done scenario that the Braves seem to have had in recent playoff appearances.

What a bunch of whiners!

The Braves are in the playoffs.  Enjoy, celebrate, kudos to them.
Don't trash them until they do something wrong!

I think the O's will be a lot better next year. The BRAVES I am glad they made it. I notice right here at the end of the season they are getting blown out in some games. Even 1/2 game behind Cardinals for most wins in the National League. What has happened? RTR!

We should be celebrating for a week whenever the Braves win their division.

"All hail, THE BRAVES.  May they never be forced to change their name!"

You're right, I don't know what came over me.

And we're third on that politically correct totem pole (no pun intended)

1. Redskins
2. Indians
3.

Not to get off on too much of a tangent, but that whole Redskins name thing is driving people insane up here. You can call the people in DC many things, but they are VERY serious about the Redskins. Every other team is just a sidelight.

Last time I cheched, in the 7th inning the Braves led the Phillies 7-1 and Heyward was 4-4 at leadoff. Good sign.

I think J Hey ended up 5-5. If he stays hot, that will only help Atlanta in the postseason.
