After last year's infield fly debacle in the wild card game MLB should have instructed the umps to give Atlanta every possible break.  I nearly quit MLB over that one.

No kidding! That call was a travesty. As for the runner being thrown out at 2nd, I thought it was accurate. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at the expression on his face. A classic, for sure.

I'm sure that my bias is influencing my decision inadvertently, but I thought the calls all went Atlanta's way last night.  Minor was getting some ridiculous strikes called on the right side of the plate that completely changed the counts of our at-bats.  The replays also showed that Dee Gordon was safe at 2nd, but that's a really tough call for the ump.

None of that was as costly as Mattingly's bad managing.

With that said, the Dodgers probably got the breaks in game one, though it didn't feel as crucial in a 5-run game as last night.

NO, the runner was out at 2nd. Even the announcers said that after they looked at it 10 times. Dodgers suck.

Maybe so.  I'm not all that confident about Ryu going against Atlanta.  But then, what do I know?  I felt better about Grienke's start than Kershaw's.

Conventional wisdom says that if you're going to score very many runs in this game, you need to do it early.  The ball does not travel well in Chavez Ravine at night.

3 of the 4 series are tied. Boston is the only team at 2-0. I don't see the Rays making a comeback.

I actually thought the Rays pitching might keep them in the series, but the Sox have just been killing them. BoSox sweep, I think.

We really need the Braves to win tonight to put more pressure on the Dodgers. Plus, it guarantees a return to Atlanta.

I think Braves need to win the next two. Having to go to game 5 and most likely face Kershaw again is not a situation I think Freddie Gonzalez wants to deal with.

To win this series this game is a monster for both teams. The best of 3 now has come down to who wants it the worse. A loss tonight and i don't think either team is like the Yankees of the 1990's who came back from 3 down and won the World Series. I got my eyes full that year cause I could tell you something that would blow your ears off. RTR!

10-4 Dodgers in 7th. Braves are living up to expectations.
